Ponto Final - Just Across The River

One of the most amazing spots to see Lisbon, might just not be in Lisbon at all. Ponto Final, the small restaurant across the Tagus River, is located in Almada, Portugal, but for travelers to Lisbon, this will not be a problem. It is one of the best places to eat out in Lisbon, and not to be missed.
The small riverside restaurant sits directly across the river, and with many tables sitting along the small, pier-like walkway, diners have one of the most amazing views of Lisbon. At Ponto Final it is possible to relax while you eat, looking out toward the colorful hills of Lisbon, as well as observing the bridge which sprawls out a little further up the river. The statue of Christ (Christo) towers above, looking out toward Lisbon, only from Ponto Final you will be on the same side of the Tagus.
The menu at Ponto Final is excellent, with a tasty choice of meat or fish, and the wine list has a quality assortment of Portuguese wines. The prices are reasonable, cheap if you consider the view. There are tables inside, and if it is windy along the Tagus, which it very often is, order a bottle of wine and a starter, and enjoy it outside for at least a glass, then move inside for the main dish.
It is recommended to get to Ponto Final early, while the sun is fading into that special “Lisbon light.” This way you can look out toward Lisbon and watch the electricity light up the city as it gets dark.
Getting to Ponto Final is simple. Take the Ferry boat across the Tagus, and follow the narrow walk along the river toward the bridge. A dinner with a view as spectacular as eating outside Ponto Final, would make a perfect way to leave the city. Maybe save this experience for your last night in Lisbon, and say goodbye to this beautiful city from across the river.

I am glad you write about my and our favourite spot in Lisbon. The light was salmon when we were there. Thank you for this article and pic.
