Martina’s Homemade Products - Pois, Café
We have already written about the Pois, Café–one of Lisbon, Portugal’s best cafés–located on Rua Sao Joao Praça, 95. It is near the Sé Cathedral, in the Alfama neighborhood of Lisbon. Anyone who has been there knows that it is the place to go.
These days there is another reason to stop in at Pois, Café. They are now selling homemade pesto, in fact three different kinds, as well as homemade vinegar and olive oil. The supply is very limited, all made by Martina Eberhardt, a local cook from Germany, living in Lisbon.
As you can see in the above picture, this limited batch is colorfully packaged with as much care and attention to detail as the recipe. The result is a very impressive and delicious product, currently only available at the Pois, Café. Judging by the impeccable taste of Martina’s products, I am certain that soon they will be requested and available in other select cafés in Lisbon. A quality product such as this should remain available only in quality establishments, which is why Pois, Café was Martina’s first stop in sharing her recipes in Lisbon.
If you would like to try a jar of one of Martina’s 3 different pesto sauces, or perhaps a bottle of vinegar or olive oil, just head on over to the Pois, Café. Everybody there knows Martina well, and will know exactly what you are looking for.
